My name is MOURA MELO,

I am 60 years old, born in Lisbon and live in the respective metropolitan area. I joined the JUDICIAL POLICE in 1990, with the rank of Agent, which was later renamed to Inspector. In 2005 I moved to the Interpol - NCB Lisbon, where I still work for 20 years. Also, I am member of IPA - International Police Association - since 1991.

O meu nome é MOURA MELO,

Tenho 60 anos de idade, nascido em Lisboa e residente na respetiva área metropolitana. Entrei para a POLICIA JUDICIÁRIA em 1990, com a categoria de Agente, a qual foi mais tarde renomeada para Inspetor. Em 2005 transitei para o Gabinete Nacional Interpol, onde exerço funções há cerca de 20 anos. Também sou membro da IPA - Associação Internacional de Policia - desde 1991.

Started my collection in 2005, only with Police lapel pins, because at the time there wasn't enough space for exhibitions. In march of 2014, NCB Lisbon moved into the JUDICIAL POLICE Headquarts and then, I had space enough to exhibit all kind of Police insignia in ny Office.

Since then, the collection has grown considerably, currently boasting over 5000 pieces, including, LAPEL PINS, METALIC BADGES, PATCHES, VISOR and BASEBALL CAPS, HELMETS, MINIATURE CARS and MOTOS, CHALLENGE COINS, CRESTS, TIE CLIPES, KEY RINGS, among other pieces.

Iniciei a coleção em 2005, apenas com pins de Policia, porque não tinha espaço suficiente para colocar em exibição. Em Março de 2014, o Gabinete Nacional Interpol mudou-se para as instalações do Edificio-sede da POLICIA JUDICIÁRIA, tendo então no meu local de trabalho espaço suficiente para colocar em exibição todo o tipo de insignias de Policia.

Desde então, a coleção aumentou considerávelmente, contando atualmente com mais de 5000 peças, incluíndo, PINS, CRACHÁS METÁLICOS, EMBLEMAS DE BRAÇO/PEITO, CHAPÉUS COM VISOR ou OS denominados BASEBALL CAPS, CAPACETES, CARROS e MOTOS em miniatura, MOEDAS, CRESTAS, ALFINETES DE GRAVATA, PORTA CHAVES, entre outros.
